6th of the month!

It's the 6th of the month!
...and somehow, that month is January of a NEW year!

The Limelight Chicks have a project to share today and our theme:
something wearable

First up..here is a cute little box to package it up in:

I used paper from the Basic Grey 6x6 Indian Summer pad...LOVE the colors in that pad!

I finished off the top with a sentiment from Sweet Affections, May Arts Faux Suede Ruffle Ribbon in Brown and a Basic Grey Button.

Now...what's in the box?

THIS was a recent challenge over on SCS and I couldn't wait to try it out!
I made a necklace and keychain.....

Both use papers from the Basic Grey Indian Summer 6x6 pad.
I embellished with Chocolate Pearls.

I used a 1mm elastic cord from the jewelry section at Michaels... This way it'll 'strtech' as I put it on over my head and the 'shrink' back to 'normal.'



I'm going to use this as a keychain... I just love the browns and bling!

December Planner!

It's the 6th of the month so that means us Limelight Papercrafts Chickies have a project to share with you!

This month...think calendars, countdowns, planners...etc!

I saw THIS on Beate's blog and knew I had to give it a try!

For the front I used a sheet of paper from the fabulous Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses 6x6
pad at the top and to cover the snowflake.

The Snowflake is from the Basic Grey Undressed Chipboard Holiday Ornaments pack.
I edged it in Snowdrift Sparkle Fibers to glitz it up!

I stamped the 'swirl' from the Unity November Store KOM ~ Believe in Fairytales in versamark.

The Wine Rhinestones at the top are a perfect match for the Rich Razzleberry paper.
And that Basic Grey Button at the bottom left is a super close match!

And it's all tied up with some luxurious 1.5" Pink Silk Ribbon!

The inside uses another design from the Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses 6x6 pad.

I used more of the Wine Rhinestones and then some Split Pea Rhinestones (a great match for Old Olive) to embellish around the titles.

My card:

For my chipboard element I used the Basic Grey Hip Chipboard Mini Monograms...yep, you're right, I LOVE THESE!

To get them nice and shimmery, I painted the naked chipboard with Angels Wing Shimmerz.

The shimmering ribbon underneath is so gorgeous in person, it's the Sheer/Twinkle Ribbon ~ and it's only .32/yd!

All patterned paper on this card is from the Basic Grey Wassail 6x6 pad.

The angel is Wreath Angel by Stampendous.
I think this is my favorite Christmas stamp!
I also used Angels Wings Shimmerz on her wings.



The berries with my holly leaves in the lower left corner are Red Pearls.

Celebrating Fall!

It's the 6th of the month so that means that us Limelight Chickies
have a project to share!

Our 'theme' is Fall and/or Halloween Home decor.
I've definitely felt Fall in the air lately, I've been able to turn off the A/C some!
I love it!

I started out with this Table Tidy by Kaisercraft:Then I used Mod Podge to adhere some of the BEAUTIFUL papers from the Basic Grey Indian Summer 6x6 pad.



The 'rim' of the Table Tidy is covered with Dew Drops!

Now...in the photo, they look a bit green...but I actually used small clear ones.
I colored the top of the rim of the table tidy with a brown marker...so they do look more brown in real life, thank goodness.



The letters for 'fall' are the Hip Chipboard Mini Monograms by Basic Grey.
I love these! They are adhesive backed which makes life easier. LOL

I colored the 'naked' chipboard with a brown marker and then painted them with Coffee Shimmerz!
