Aqua Pie Daisies

What kind of a title is that? Well...I combined Aqua Mist with Pumpkin Pie... :)

I LOVE this color combo!

I was watching TV and saw an aqua sweater with pumpkin pie flowers 'growing' up from the bottom. I couldn't wait to get this set so I can make this card!

I used only orange on the aqua mist paper and pumpkin pie for the sentiment.

Oh...and this taffeta ribbon . . . L O V E it!

Mmmm....cupcakes!

Love these sparkling cupcakes! The middle cupcake is popped up higher than the other two. There is a pink rhinestone at the end of the sentiment. The card measures 4 x 6.

Ladies in the Limelight

It's Limelight Thursday!!!

Everyone needs a quick card at some point, and stickers and rub-ons are just the things to reach for. Besides, when most people start paper crafting they do so with stickers and a little bit of paper! It's good to remember that you can create something spectacular with just a few basic supplies.

And here's my take on it:

These are rub-ons! I love how vibrant they are and how they go over the designer paper.
I used the Basic Grey Cupcake Olio rub-ons.
I used my bone folder and scissor blade to 'distress' the edges.
The circle is popped up on dimensionals.

Today's Color Challenge!

Oh how cool!
I suggested this color combo (Ruby Red, Blush Blossom and Close to Cocoa) to the fabulous Emily Giovanni and she chose it for today's color challenge over on SCS!
Go play if ya get a chance!

I pierced around the scallops and the top of the ruby red strip. And, used the Fiskars threading water twice: on the bottom of the ruby red strip and the bottom of the blush blossom.
I thought the swiss dots embossing complimented the piercing dots.

I used a Sakura glaze pen on the chocolate and the flowers on the chair. I went over her dress with a clear spica for a little sparkle.

'Clearly' Panda

Oh I just LOVE this stamp from Rubbernecker.

The 'white' of the panda is covered with the sakura stardust pen. The rocks are covered with the sakura glaze pen.

There is a layer of acetate on top with some black bamboo on the bottom. It is attached to the card with 4 gold brads.

Girly Girl

I totally LOVE this dress from the Retro Botique set over at Gina K Desings! Remember THIS POST? ...this dress just has so many styles!

I paper pieced this fabu dress...a vellum print bodice, dotted full skirt with a pearl waist!
I covered the hanger with the sakura stardust pen.



How about shoes to go with this dress?



I used SU Markers to color the shoe and Bic Mark Its to color the table.
There is a shine to the shoe thanks to a Sakura glaze pen. This sassy little shoe has a pearl buckle.

I LOOOVE this stamp by Unity ~ Move Mountains!
I heat embossed this in white.
There is a blue rhinestone to the right of the scripture reference and three dew drops in each of the bottom corners.

This fabulous dp is Basic Grey Two Scoops: Pistachio Almond.

Isn't this color combo fabulous??? It was yesterday's color challenge over on SCS: old olive, elegant eggplant and taken with teal. So rich and vibrant!

These tiny trees are quite blingy with dazzling diamonds on the popped up leaves on the middle tree.... And then dazzling diamonds and rhinestones on the first and thrid tree.

A Summer Dress

Anni-VERVE-sary

Verve is celebrating their annivesary, or shall I say Anni-VERVE-sary! ;) There are lots of fun contests and sketches over in the Verve forum on SCS this week!

I don't have any Verve stamps (yet, but I gotta wish list) but you can play using any stamps!

This is for AVS07. I swapped around the two rectangles and made one a square.

I used a stamp from Spring Solitude to make the backgrounds on the Aqua Mist, White and So Saffron pieces.

There are stardust stickes in the centers of the flowers on the white panel.
And a pearl is in the middle of the butterfly.

This is a Rubber Romance diva I got from the PIF Stamped Images thread over on SCS.
Once I was done I realized there was no sentiment! LOL! But, I decided to leave it as is...sometimes I just need a card to write a hello and this will be perfect.

I got the cool gray Copic today so I outlined the image...I really like the effect. Don't think it shows up well in the pic though.
